Welcome to my new blog. Since I have decided to change the topic of my blogs I thought it would be sensible to change the layout of my website too. So, here it is.
I still consider myself as new to the blogging world but hopefully what I will talk about will be shed light and bring awareness of shadowed or irregularly mentioned situations.
Hi, I hope everyone has been looking after themselves during these uneasy times?
Personally, I have been occupied with personal issues so I do apologise that it has been a while.
The previous four to five months of lockdown has been quite challenging, especially socially and mentally. Being instructed to stay home whilst being away from family, friends and the “normal” life has been tough.
However, now that more rules are restrictions are easing I’m wondering what the future will look like, and what the new “normal” lifestyle will be…….
Will people rapidly recover from their mental and social issues, or will guidance be required to get people back on track to their lives before Covid?
As some of us are aware, some restaurants and pubs have financially suffer due to the lockdown. So, in the UK, restaurants have provided discounts to customers who eat in.
I would like to say, if you have any free time and you can afford to eat out, please support and help out by eating out. The discount was only originally meant to last until the end of August, but some restaurants have decided to extend the discount. So keep updated with the news.
Covid-19, caused by the coronavirus. So this is the pandemic that everyone is talking about. It is amazing that in a matter of months that the UK has currently identified 1,950 positive cases, with 71 deaths in total in the UK.
Due to the pandemic, the public across the UK have entered a stage of panic and terror, which has resulted in supermarkets being sold out of food and toiletry products. Specifically bread, rice and pasta, sanitizers and soaps and toilet paper.
Even though UK supermarkets have benefited financially from customers spending, other business such as cafes, restaurants and pubs are drastically losing customers. Selfridges in the UK has decided to close some stores because of the virus, and popular supermarket such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons and Asda have placed product restrictions towards customers buying grocery products.
The Sun news regarding the panic buying in supermarkets
After witnessing the empty shelves myself in these supermarkets, I feel some people have been inconsiderate when thinking of others and have also forgotten that these stores will continue to operate even with people self-isolating themselves.
Also, some people need to remember, firstly it is not World War 3, and secondly sanitisers, soaps or any cleaning detergents are not prevention methods for the coroavirus, but are methods of reducing the chances of transmitting the infection. Prevention and reduction are two different approaches. However, the World Heath Organisation (WHO) are still learning how the virus is transmitted.
So far we know that:
The coronavirus is transmitted from person to person through respiratory droplets when people cough or sneeze.
The virus affects the lungs and airways.
All I will say to people in the UK who are reading this blog are:
Do some research yourself using the WHO or NHS website about the coronavirus so you can stay up-to-date with the information regarding the coronavirus and try not to panic.
Be mindful about others when buying groceries from supermarkets.
If you have been around someone who could have possibly contracted the virus, stay at home and follow the WHO or NHS guidances.
Remember, you are not the only person experiencing the affects caused by the virus.
So one of my challenges I signed up to by the blogging university is to write a prompt. Therefore, I decided to relate this blog upon the word – Assumption.
In my opinion, everyone, including myself, make assumptions based upon their five senses; see, hear, touch, smell and taste. Certain factors can influence our assumptions such as our environment, culture and beliefs. However, everyone is entitled to have different thoughts on how they see the world, but not many respect other people’s opinions and assumptions.
So I guess the question that I have is – “Can assumptions be good?”
Fenty Beauty is revolution within the makeup industry, discovered by the singer Rihanna that is tailed for all skin types and colour. The most famous product is her matte and hydrating pro filt’r foundation that is available in various shades, which includes a wide range of deep shades.
Fenty Beauty – Soft matte Pro Filt’r shades
As a female I would reccommend this product since I have found the colour that is the closest match to my own skin tone, compared to other products. However, some people need to remember that our skin tone changes depending on the weather and season. So we need to have various shades of foundation. For example, during the winter our skin may become lighter, compared to summer where our skin may become more tanned or darker.
Overall, pro filt’r is a nice, comfortable and buildable foundation to be worn. Also I would recommend her pro filt’r face primer, especially if you have oily skin, the matte and retouch primer may help to reduce excess oil. Good job RiRi.
